Collection: BALOUCHI

Persian Baluchi rug is woven by the Baluchi people living in Sistan and Baluchistan province in Iran. The patterns on these carpets vary greatly, many of which are composed of repeating patterns that span the entire field diagonally. Some have a maze-like complex hook shape. Usually, the fields of these prayer rugs are filled with the leaves and stems of highly stylised trees, and small geometric plants appear on the wings. The use of dark colours is very common. Sometimes camel hair is woven in some of the Baluchi rugs which can be hung on the wall.
